The Introduction

The location of this restaurant is very unique, in fact it is located on a 75-,meter-long boat. It has three floors in total. On the top there are two huge terraces and an additional glass sided wall one, the winter garden. On the middle level, two differently designed restaurants are taking place there. They are called the “Café, which is more like a fine dining hall and the “Lounge”, which is a luxury eating area. On the bottom level they are providing a night club designed in an Arabic fantasy style and it’s called “The Oriental”. From the Lounge there is a direct access to the night club. On each level there is a full kitchen and it is able to serve every type of event, so you don’t have to worry about anything.

I've been there 2 or 3 times and every time went out satisfied. The quality of food is really great - some dishes are a kind of surprise - I'd never come up with that kind of idea of combining ingredients. The nest thing i had is a chocolate ball with ice cream inside - with a drop of hot caramel on top when it's getting served.

Eating at Spoon was certainly an experience. The location is amazing with fantastic views across the Danube and the restaurant itself is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and my party and I were very well looked after. The food was delicious but I would say fussy eaters beware. Personally I liked the very unique menu but duck tongue and calves head is not everyone’s cup of tea. Also not the best place if you are dining on a budget, the food and drink are quite pricey compared the rest of Budapest. However I would recommend this restaurant as the food was some of the best I had ever had and the views are stunning.
